ドイツ歌曲のなかでもシューベルトのリートは、際立っている。
詩の雰囲気を旋律であらわすとともに、一流の作曲家でもある彼が書いた歌曲の伴奏は、それだけでも高度なテクニックを要する。歌曲の王様ともいわれる所以であろう。
ところで
ドイツ語は難しい。発音がまずうまくいかない。一時、バッハのマタイ受難曲にハマっていた時にドイツ語の歌を歌いたいと思い立ち、柄にもなくアカデミックなレッスンに通ってみたけど、音の強弱をつけながらドイツ語を発音するのはきつかった。
そして骨格的要素なのかもしれないけど、ドイツリートの発声「張りがあり奥行きがあり」は日本人には出しづらいと悟ったものだ。「ただ才能がなかっただけ」であるが。
SECRET
ゲーテらしい詩であるけど、綴られた言の葉だけでは理解できないのが難解なところ。言葉の裏や見えない部分を読み込もうとするのだけど、いつもはぐらかされてしまうので、メロディーをつけてみた。あらためて「ゲーテの詩は難解である」
Among German songs, Schubert’s lieder stands out.
In addition to expressing the mood of the poem through melody, the accompaniment of songs written by this first-rate composer requires a high level of technique alone. That is why he is called the king of lieder.
By the way
German is difficult. Pronunciation is the first thing that goes wrong. When I was addicted to Bach’s Matthew Passion for a while, I wanted to sing German songs, so I took academic lessons out of the blue, but it was hard to pronounce German words while making strong and weak sounds.
I realized that it was difficult for Japanese people to produce the “tension and depth” of German lieder, which may have been a skeletal factor. I just didn’t have the talent.
SECRET
It is a poem like Goethe’s, but it is difficult to understand it only by the words spelled out. I try to read behind the words and the invisible parts, but I always get lost, so I added a melody.
Once again, “Goethe’s poetry is esoteric.”
